First, lets just state that while this is an ungrade and the massage techniques are much different and very specific for lifting, toning and sculpting, that does not mean the other facial massage isnt good. Because I promise you...its good! Its just more of a relaxing massage compaired to this massage being a little more vigorous with more intention on those key words.."lift, tone, and sculpt".
This massage will start off with lymphatic work, opening your lymph nodes and making them ready to receive excess fluid that we all carry in our tissue. Now adding handcrafted organic massage balm to the chest, neck and face I begin the first portion which includes very specific moves to help lift and tone the facial muscles along with smoothing out the fascia. All specifically to smooth out fine lines and deeper wrinkles.
The second portion of the overall massage is a technique call Buccal. Buccal massage is an inter-oral massage that I will go in further detail in a seperate post. But, without going into too much detail, the importance of this step is to reach deeper muscle tissue that holds a lot of stress and tension. Releaving your tissue of all the tension and stress we hold on to, helps give a lifted more youthful appearance.
The last step is Gua Sha. Again, I will go in depth about this technique in a different post. This final step focuses on contouring by encouraging the lymphatic system to flush any excess fluid that makes us look puffy. Gua Sha is also great for smoothing out the fascia we mentioned earlier. Our connective tissue can get bunched up from being dehydrated or built up stress, but regardless as to why it happens, the best thing we can do for that is to make sure we are drinking plenty of water, but also, by smoothing out our skin when applying our products and by getting monthly facials!
I finish this massage with a little more lymphatic work, opening the same lymph nodes and helping them work as efficiently as possible.
One thing I can promise, there wont be a single facial mucsle that goes untouched
by the end of this treatment!
This facial should be done in a series of 6-8 for best, most noticable results. Monthly or bi-monthly treatments will help maintain your results.
*If you have had lymph nodes removed and therefore have a compromised or weakened lymphatic system, you should NOT get this massage.
